Competition & Awards Assistant (Freelance)
2 .5 days per week (Jan – Mar)
Start Date: Immediate (remote training)

About the Role
The Competition & Awards Assistant position is an energetic and dynamic role with a focus on assisting with the day-to-day logistical work and administrative support during the GC&DC annual competition, awards, and exhibition. The candidate will provide vital, hands-on support to the organising team members.
The ideal candidate must be a team player, energetic, reliable, conscientious and happy to assist with various practical tasks and projects. Experience with exhibitions and event organisation is a plus. An interest in the UK’s jewellery and silversmithing industries is desirable.
Essential skills/ requirements:
Available to work part-time (Jan – March) and open to ad-hoc work outside competition period eg with industry shows and events to represent GC&DC which may be full days or evenings and occasionally outside of London.
Can be flexible with working days (Mon – Fri) should the workload fall / increase.
Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel including document editing, mail merge and data management.
Comfortably able to carry loads of up to 10-20kg.
Experience with sensitive handling of valuable objects.
Good organisational skills.
A team player.
Greater London/ London-based & able to commute into the city regularly.
Must be registered self employed.
